Students had to walk about 5 miles to reach the school. This resulted in them coming late, or skipping school in rainy and winter seasons.2 school buses, one for Allampally school and another for Birsaipeta were required for providing transport.

With the generous support of Mr. Ravindra Thota, two buses were purchased and put to use. With his generous contribution, he has literally paved the path for students from thatched huts to a great future with the power of education.

In his own words –

“I was born in Warangal, AP, India in a family with Agriculture as main occupation. I completed PhD in Agriculture from Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University and migrated to USA after marrying Ms. Yashodhara Thota in 1996. Now I am the President of JSMN International Inc, a Computer Consulting Company in Jersey City, NJ. Since 2007, I have been involved in Schools for Tribals and Schools for the Blind which were started by VT Seva. I sponsor 87 kids at Allampalli School for Tribal students and contribute $87 a day.

VT Seva is actively involved in serving the poor students from tribal communities and provides good education to the underprivileged kids in the society. I came from a poor family and lost my father when I was 4 years old. My Mother helped for my education. I thank God for helping in coming up in USA. When I came to know that the Allampalli School needs a bus to bring the students from interior villages where students have to walk 5 miles each way to come to School, I donated $28,000 to buy this School Bus. I request everyone all the people to donate little to support the VT Seva. Dollar a day can make a huge impact!”
